Not a bohemian, not a fanatic, not an adventurer, but a job holder and good family man. Himmler, she observes, was the most normal of the Nazi leadership. He proved his supreme ability for organizing masses into total domination by assuming that most people are job holders and good family men — and that nothing proved easier to destroy than the privacy and private morality of people who thought of nothing but safeguarding their private lives.
This is the Draken diagnostic applied to the present: the threat is not the mob (the explicit fascists, the Proud Boys, the militia movements). The threat is the philistine mass — the population whose Ψ is unbounded, whose Γ_local depends entirely on private economic security, and who will sacrifice belief, honor, and dignity on the slightest provocation to that security.
II. The Diagnosis: March 2026

This is Arendt's tyranny of logicality in real time. The system cannot withdraw because withdrawal exposes the accumulated K(t) — every institutional norm violated, every alliance damaged, every diplomatic channel burned. The coherence debt is compounding. And the entities benefiting from the logicality — Russia gains revenue, strategic distraction, and infrastructure lock-in; China gains energy diversification, intelligence on US operational capabilities, and petroyuan momentum — are not the entity executing it.
Who is the substrate? The American working class. Arendt's superfluous masses.
